Screen Safety: A Conversation with Dr. Tracy Bennett

Episode 27 of The Secure Dad Podcast is an eye opening one about a subject that affects all of our families: online safety and screen time. During my conversation with Dr. Tracy Bennett of Get Kids Internet Safe, I learned a lot about how screen time is affecting our kids and our families not only with safety but in health and wellbeing too. Plus, we talk about the Momo Challenge and how not to believe everything you read on the internet!

Today my guest on the show is Dr. Tracy Bennett. She is a screen safety expert who teaches families how to strengthen relationships AND achieve screen sanity. She is the founder and CEO of GetKidsInternetSafe and author of Screen Time in the Mean Time: A Parenting Guide to Get Kids and Teens Internet Safe. In her work as a clinical psychologist over twenty-five years, she sees the impacts of digital injury and how to treat and prevent it.

You may recognize Dr. Bennett as she regularly appears on Access Hollywood Live and various national radio and television news programs. Her expert Internet safety and parenting articles have been published by Healthy Living Magazine, Moms Magazine and The Good Men Project, just to name a few. I’ve personally been learning from her work for more than a year now and it’s good information for all of us.
